The pre-installed, 80 Plus Gold efficiency PSU features 16AWG PCIe full-modular, high efficiency cables tailor-made to allow ease of installation without the hassle of cable management. We haven’t given out an award in a while, but the NR200 deserves the Hardware Canucks Dam Good and the Dam Good Value awards. The components used in this build were originally used in a Node 202 build which is why we stuck with the low profile cooler. Following numerous iterations, the launch design was chosen, but we thought "why not share the iterations with our users? A 280mm radiator, two pre-installed SickleFlow PWM 140mm fans, and a highly acclaimed 3rd gen Cooler Master pump/CPU block provides reliable cooling for the CPU.
They are braided, which is almost overkill: As you’ll see later in the build, the GPU covers up so much of the system, you barely get to see any of it.Another fun design consideration of the NR200 is that the side panels are swappable, so you really don't have to worry about which side they came off of, just slap them back on when done. The NR200 is just shy of the overall size of 20L just squeezing it into that Small Form Factor segment while allowing for a wide range of cooling options and graphics card configurations. A PCI Riser is included for vertical GPU installation, ideal for showcasing or feeding it fresh air from the side with the vented panel.
Every feature is thoughtfully laid out in the 18-liter case to maximize component compatibility, ease of use, and thermal efficiency. Not only will you choke the GPU, but you are also removing any potential for additional air flow because there is no point of installing the side radiator bracket if you have a tempered glass side panel. Not only do we have a little height adjustment for either SFX or SFX-L mount, but you can also reposition the entire power supply bracket to the front of the enclosure. And by the way, they both come with a 92mm fan that you can mount at the back in case you are not using the vertical PCIe slots. If there was anything negative to say is that it made me really reconsider my components used and wished I had gone for a much larger air cooler or even water cooling for the Ryzen 5 3600 we used, or even a bigger GPU since surely this case could easily dissipate the heat.
The NR200P comes with a choice of side panels: vented steel for unrestricted airflow, or crystal-clear tempered glass to reveal the beauty of a computing beast. The backside is pretty simple with enough room for managing cables from the fans but also where you'll access the screws to remove the PSU shroud for mounting your SFX PSU or relocating the shroud to the front of the case.
Both side panels feature generous ventilation holes and a magnetic dust filter on the inside to sure your system stays clean and airy. Really the only thing that is kind of a concern for me when having this case on my desk is the airflow, because it’s exhausting everything from the side, which means that when it’s on my right side I can feel all that airflow. We find that all they want is a simple engine with smaller size but much more power, just like a "beast". Easy-to-remove panels allow 360-degree access to the internals of your system for easy build and maintenance. Being only 18 liters in volume, the NR200P MAX is design to simultaneously satisfy power, performance, and minimal footprint. The internal headers are excellently thought out with the front panel heads in a binding tool that makes it a plug and play install if the board header is in the default layout, literally plugging in three cables and one.
Triple slot GPUs are supported with a maximum length of 330mm and maximum width of 156mm allowing the fitment of high-end graphics cards. Seven possible fan mounts, ample ventilation, and generous liquid and air-cooler clearances keep even the most powerful systems running at their optimum temperatures and speeds.The MasterBox NR200P uses features normally found in stylish, high-end ATX cases and cleverly utilizes space-saving measures to create a chassis taking up less than half the volume. Performance wise the NR200 with the included 120mm fan at the top is absolutely enough, and you don’t need additional fans in there since so out of the box cooling is phenomenal. Compared with FS-L200, NR-200 has much better performance, which has neither no oil leakage, nor air leakage, and no water leakage. Next to that, Cooler Master throws in not just a mesh side panel, but also a 4mm pane of tempered glass for when you want to get showy. Sealed, secured fan bearings prevent dust accumulation or lubricating oil leakage, maximizing operation stability and life span.
